When creating segments in Retention, there are two views available, List and Funnel. This article discusses the Funnel view. To see the funnel view make sure you have selected the light bulb icon on the top right hand corner of the Barilliance management Panel

The funnel view is based on the RFM model, which is a method used for analyzing customer value. The Funnel view classifies users based on how many purchases they've made and how recent their last purchase was.

Definitions:

  1. Prospects - Visitors with an email who have not purchased 

Active - Last visit was less than 14 days ago.
At Risk - Last visit was 14 to 30 days ago
Dormant - Last visit was more than 30 days ago

2. First Purchase - Customers who bought once

Active - Last purchase was less than 30 ago.
At Risk - Last purchase was between 30 and 90 days.
Dormant - Last purchase was more than 90 days ago. 

3. Repeat Buyers - Customers who made more than 2 purchases

Active -  Last purchase was less than 60 days ago.
At Risk - Last purchase was between 60 - 120 days ago.
Dormant - Last purchase was more than 120 days ago. 

4. Loyal - Customers who made more than 3 purchases

Active -  Last purchase was less than 90 days ago.
At Risk - Last purchase was between 90 - 180 days ago.
Dormant - Last purchase was more than 180 days ago.
